Mavrud Claret

Vintage 2020

Mavrud Claret vintage 2020 is a wine which we created to show the typical fruity aroma and taste of this traditional Bulgarian variety without it having undergone transformations when aged in contact with wood. The color is sparkling and transparent, and the coarse tannins, specific for Mavrud, are cleared to the structure of a deep rosé. The grapes are from the foothills of the Rhodopes near the village of Zlatovrah, from 45-year old vineyards and are from the Mavrud clone with larger grains, stronger aromas and less tannin. Date of harvest: 12 October 2020 Date of bottling: 06.05.2021 Alcohol: 13.5 vol% Acidity: 6.6 g / l 500 bottles
