Description
Red Misket from the 2025 harvest is a white, the result of hybrid fermentation of the juice of wine with a pronounced but delicate Muscat aroma Red Misket and less than 1% whole grains of Kailashki Misket. The grapes are from the village of Korten, Sliven district, Thracian Lowland region.
Around the village of Korten is one of the traditional wine-growing regions of the country with very favorable conditions for growing wine grapes. The vineyard is about 30 years old, the altitude is about 180 meters. The soils are diluvial. The vineyard is located on the southern slopes of Sredna Gora. The terrain is flat and open to the south, and from the north it is protected by the mountain. The climate is continental. There is little precipitation, mainly in spring, and the winters are mild, often with strong winds.
2025 was extremely hot, but unlike the previous one, precipitation fell in August. For other varieties, prolonged hot periods are detrimental, but the Red Misket variety generally accumulates lower sugars and hot weather contributes to good ripening, without harming the acids.
We carried out a classic fermentation of pre-clarified grape juice at a temperature of 15-17 degrees. During fermentation, we added less than 1% whole grains of Kailashki Misket. The wine is aged entirely in stainless steel vessels.
The wine has a very delicate aroma and taste. The very low levels of residual sugar (0.8 grams per liter) enhance the feeling of minerality. Combined with the relatively low alcohol (11%), all this makes our Red Misket 2025 the perfect summer wine.
